My earliest memories of hypnosis were watching BBC2 Open University, There they were demonstrating the effectiveness of hypnotherapy on weight loss for reprogramming the subsconscious mind and eating habits. They used much the same strategies as all hypnotherapist still do today. Positive suggestions, included putting less food on the plate, feeling full quicker and instilling postive suggestions about your self-image and exercise.
Sounds simple enough. But you need an experienced hypnotheraist to get you into that deeply relaxed state and who knows which suggestions to make that resonate with you.
